1Pay Bókhald – Internal Data Processing Agreement (DPA)

Last updated: 6 October 2026

1. Purpose

This document describes how 1Pay handles personal data in its internal “1Pay Bókhald” integration with the e-conomic API. The integration is used only by 1Pay, for 1Pay’s own bookkeeping. 1Pay already has a data processing agreement with e-conomic as a customer. This document covers 1Pay’s own internal handling on top of that.

2. Roles

  • 1Pay is the data controller for the bookkeeping data in its own e-conomic agreement.
  • e-conomic stores the data and is a processor under its own agreement with 1Pay.
  • The AI provider (Anthropic) processes data on 1Pay’s instructions when 1Pay uses the AI assistant for bookkeeping tasks.

3. What is processed

  • Data subjects: 1Pay’s customers, suppliers and employees.
  • Data types: names, contact details, company information, invoice and payment information, and other data that appears in bookkeeping records.
  • Purpose: 1Pay’s own bookkeeping only.

4. Instructions

Data is processed only for the purpose above and only on 1Pay’s instructions. It is not used for any other purpose, and it is not used to train AI or machine-learning models.

5. Access and security

  • Access is limited to authorised people and systems at 1Pay.
  • Access is given through e-conomic API tokens, kept secret and replaced if lost or exposed.
  • Access can be withdrawn at any time in e-conomic.

6. Sub-processors and transfers

Data is not shared with other parties, except e-conomic and the AI provider named in section 2. 1Pay will not add other processors without updating this document.

7. Storage and deletion

Data stays in e-conomic. No separate permanent copy is kept outside e-conomic. When use of the integration ends, the tokens are revoked. Bookkeeping records are kept as long as Faroese bookkeeping law requires, and then deleted.

8. Incidents

If personal data is exposed or lost, 1Pay will investigate, limit the damage and notify the people and authorities concerned where the law requires it. 1Pay will also inform e-conomic when it affects the API connection.
